Aksys Games is on a roll following a busy panel at Anime Expo 2016 this weekend. It announced a handful of new plans and probably did so while not dropping nearly as much money as Sony or Xbox did on their major E3 2016 press conferences.
The big stage is expensive. Word of mouth is free, especially when you’re dealing with fan-favorite games.
The latest game to fall under Aksys Games’ wing is called Chase: Cold Case Investigations. In Japan, the game is being seen as a spiritual successor to the games created by shuttered studio Cing. Arc System Works managed to gather former Director Taisuke Kanasaki and many of Cing’s old creative minds and put them to work on a new mystery game in the vein of their Nintendo DS hits Hotel Dusk: Room 215 and Last Window: The Secret of West Cape.
Aksys Games did not put a release date on the project, but it will be released in 2017 for the Nintendo 3DS. The game has been available in Japan since May 11, 2016.
